What are my chances of getting into an ivy league school?

SAT score: 1800 (with the exception of upenn, I probably won’t send this to other schools)
class rank: top 1 percent of my class
ACT: 30, 34 math, 33 english, 27 reading, 24 science, 8 on the essay. I am trying to get my superscore up to a 31or 32

Leadership: Treasurer (key club),Member of a leadership program for the Los Angeles County Fair, Secretary and Vice President (Recycle club), Link Crew commissioner, camp counsellor, assistant coach for a Special Olympics team

Extracurriculars: California Scholarship Federation, National Honors Society, key club, recycle club, library volunteer, Link Crew

awards: Key Club member of the month award, AP scholar, LA County Junior Fair Board scholarship, Be Extraordinary award(this is an award at my school that recognizes hard working students), highest number of hours in recycle club

summer activities: went to Princeton for a week for a politics camp

AP and Honor classes: APUSH, AP world history, AP spanish, AP Environmental Science, AP English Language and Composition, AP Psychology, AP Calculus, AP Government and AP Economics,AP English Literature, Honors pre calc, Honors Chem, Honors Biology, Honors Algebra II, Honors English

Service hours: over 300

And I am going to apply to Upenn early decision or apply to another Ivy early action

to be fair, your chances are slim, althought you have great GPA… your test scores and EC’s are lacking (for Ivys that is)…

I would strongly advise you to look at some top-ranked test-optional colleges, like Wesleyan or Bowdoin, since your test scores really aren’t competitive for the most selective colleges that require score reports. Your GPA is your strongest asset, and shows that you are capable of excelling within a rigorous academic environment, but there are just too many other straight-A students who will also be applying with higher test scores. Your ECs are respectable, but not dazzling enough to compensate for suboptimal scores. Go to fairtest.org. There are many excellent test-optional schools out there. There are many, many great colleges out there, so please don’t set yourself up for heartbreak by obsessing over the relatively few where you aren’t likely to get in.

Your test scores are low for these top schools especially the SAT. I don’t think UPenn allows for score choice either. I would try to bring the ACT up to at least a 32 and the SAT to a 2100. Good luck!
