Throughout the first two years of highschool, I literally did not try in anything but honors science and math (where I got nothing less than a 93) and finished my sophomore year with a 2.9. However, I was admitted to a selective math camp in Colorado which I attended during the summer of sophomore year. During junior year I took two AP maths and an Honors science and got nearly perfect grades in every class with the lowest grade on my final report card being a 91. This brought my GPA up to a 3.4. Additionally, I scored a 2150 on the SAT which is 98th percentile (getting a 790/800 on math). Later that year I managed to test in the top 98 percentile on the AMC test and make it to the AIME in which I then scored in the top 150 which qualified me for the USAMO. Finally, I was admitted and attended PROMYS (hardest math camp to get into) and have recommendation letters from 2 math professors. Will my low GPA prevent me from getting into any of the ivies?
