<p>My college dream is the Brown-RISD dual degree program, so I can get a B.A. in English and American Literature, or French Literature, and a B.F.A in Photography. Art and literature are my biggest interests out of anything.
I went to a public high school for freshman year, and had an average of a 3.5 GPA, which put me on the Honor Roll. I switched to a smaller, college-prep arts school with an all honors level curriculum for the rest of high school.</p>
<p>Academic:
All of my classes are honors level, I’m in Beginning Photography and on Yearbook, and currently I have a 3.75-8 GPA. At the end of this year, after some self-studying I’m going to take the AP US History and AP Biology exams. This summer, I’m going to New York for 2 weeks for a photography program, taking an SAT study course, and learning Pre-Calculus so I can be in Calculus next year. Next year, I’ll take the PSAT in the fall, and I’m planning on self-studying (starting over the summer) AP Art History, AP Psychology, AP Studio Art 2D, and AP English Language so I can take those exams in the spring. Senior Year, if everything works out, I’ll take 12th grade Humanities (Philosophy, Writing, and a political campaign), Advanced Calculus, French 4, Physics, and Advanced Photography. I’m planning on then taking the AP Calculus BC exam, AP French exam, and AP English Literature exam. If I get a 4 or 5 on all of these exams, I’ll be a National AP Scholar by the end of high school. I’m also planning on taking SAT 2 French, US History, and Math 2.</p>
<p>Extracurricular so far (including Community Service):

- Photography (about to enter a few local photography competitions)

- Creative Writing (I’m currently in the process of writing a novel)
- Ultimate Frisbee team (JV this year, maybe Varsity next year)
- Founder/President of a club that organizes fundraisers and drives benefiting homeless youth
- Founder of a non-profit organization that provides art classes and materials for youth homeless shelters
- Creator of a publication affiliated with the organization that promotes the students artwork
- Tutors underprivileged elementary school kids
- Youth Volunteer Corps of Seattle</p>
<p>I’ve signed up to be an ArtsCorps of Seattle Classroom Assistant for next school year, Photographer for Communities in Schools of Seattle, and is going to apply to be a TIPS intern during the summer after Junior year, and hope to be in my schools leadership program Senior Year. </p>
<p>As for RISD, I’m working on building a strong portfolio (mostly photography and painting) for all of the arts schools I plan to apply to.</p>
