Hi,
I am a high school student with an sat score of 2160, ACT of 33, gpa of 4.7w, 4.0 uw, and ranked 7th at a school of 663 students and am taking subject tests in January. I have researched 2 years of biostatistics under a proffessor at a University and am publishing a paper. I am a jazz guitarist, 5th in area(only accept two for state) and play for a grammy-nominated jazz band. I am also a cross-country and track runner and am district champion and Varsity for two years, am nearing college-standards for this year. I have tried out for each music program and am looking to double-major jazz with Biology and run in college. I know its a big commitment so I am looking to take alot of summer classes and possibly an extra year. Do I have a good shot at these schools and is my plan doable. Also, I have been defferred to regular decision by Columbia.
For C, H, P, you have a stellar GPA and class rank (almost top 1%!) but not good enough test scores. You still have a good shot.
I see no reason why you can’t get into USC and NYU with those stats.
I got into Stanford with a way worse GPA (3.88 UW, 4.32 W) and a slightly higher ACT score.
I say you get accepted into all of the schools except for Stanford. Best of luck! Chance me please.http://■■■■■■■.com/CHANCEMEyay
Thanks guys also for NYU and USC what are my chances of getting merit aid and getting into Harvard/new england conservatory and Columbia/julliard, I think my music won’t be the problem but my academics will since they only take the best applicants of each
I can’t imagine how anyone can predict your chances for the arts with any hope of being beyond chance. If you are an amazing musician they just have to have, they’ll overlook some academic glitches but it does not work the other way. If Julliard does not think your art is amazing, it does not matter what your academics are like.
OK gotcha
