Slim to none.

Great hooks, but they can’t guarantee anything, especially with your stats.

Wow your stats are SO similar to mine! My scores and GPA are almost like yours’.

And I think Columbia is a far stretch for me too but I hope you make it!

Good Luck!

you have excellent extracurriculars and hooks. unfortunately those standardized test scores are well below where they should be. consider studying up and taking one of them again; i know the SAT is offered in january. you can let the admissions office know you’re taking it again, if you decide to, which i hope you do, because it sounds like you’ve put a lot of hard work in and i’d like to see you admitted lol.

all that being said, i don’t think it’s entirely impossible. i think i recall one person being admitted with an SAT score in the 1800s range, and with the rest of your profile how it is, i would say you have a better shot than you may think.

best of luck

did you apply to SEAS or CC?

As you probably already know, your GPA and test scores are lower than they should be for Columbia. However, your family background and ECs give you an advantage in admissions. I think that you have a chance but it’s not likely that you’ll be accepted. Sorry
If you write really compelling essays, get great teacher recs and excel on your AP exams, you will increases your chances atlhough I suggest looking into other schools as well.

Your hooks will definitely help, but surely nothing is close to guaranteed because your numbers are a bit low. But it’s not impossible, so just try your best if you take the Jan SAT! (Unless that date already passed…?)
