<p>It’s pretty likely that you’ll get in. You have strong extracurriculars, a rock-solid gpa and SAT score, and you seem to be well within the income range to find this school affordable based on the key factors of income predictability.</p>
<p>I think it’s too bold to say that it’s “pretty likely” that you will get in, I disagree. However, I do think you’re in the range. You’re at the bottom 25th percentile for both GPA & SAT, which is not good. Typically if you’re at the bottom 25th percentile for GPA, you want to be at the 75th percentile for SAT (& vice versa). Raising your SAT can give you a more secure holding of admission to NYU. The 75th percentile for SAT at NYU is 2240 (for GPA is 3.95). 50th percentile for both is about 3.8/2130.</p>
<p>Well you should consider what the guy above me said, but I think they may also be taking into account NYU Stern, which is… a different story. You have some good EC’s, a decentish GPA, and decent SATs.</p>
<p>No awards or summer programs though… It’s not too late to enroll in a JSA summer program I believe. If you’re going to do international relations, I know for a fact they have a course on that there, and it’ll supplement your existing commitment to JSA. it can also show seriousness towards intl relations, and a possible good rec letter.</p>

<p>He also has strong ECs, is likely an URM (Korean club leadership, Bolivian (Hispanic) background), and is intending to raise his SAT scores. It’s not a lock by any means, but I’d put the likelihood of acceptance to be 60% or slightly over that, and he might be in line for some of the better merit aid scholarship opportunities.</p>

<p>Doing community service in Bolivia in no way makes the OP a likely Hispanic, and the fact that they are in the Korean club strongly suggests otherwise. Intention of raising SAT scores is a constant chant here on CC, show me the numbers.</p>

<p>The OP already has a SAT of 2040; with ScoreChoice even modest improvements in one or more subject areas can yield dramatic benefits.</p>
<p>I’ll bet with entomom that the OP is Korean making him overrepresented at NYU. Decent shot of getting in but probably without money.</p>
