What are my chances of getting into the colleges on my list?

<p>Hi guys, I’m stressed out about college, a lot, right now. I have made <a href=“http://www.viewdocsonline.com/document/kt32eh”>THIS</a> spread sheet listing the college I want to go to (in order of which ones I want to go to the most). It also include their acceptance rates, acceptance rates with the IB program, their acceptance rates with early decision and their acceptance rates with early decision and IB. What college should I apply ‘early decision’ to? People usually say it should be the college you’d like to go to the most. In my case is, it’s Harvard. But, I feel like if I apply to Harvard early decision, it would be a waste of the ‘early desison’ since Harvard is such a reach. What do you guys think I should do? BTW, I’m Canadian so I’d technically be an ‘international student’.</p>

<li>Interned for one year at NASA Jet Proportion Laboratory.</li>
<li>Made a fully functional polymer chain reactor (DNA testing machine)</li>
<li>Make a fully functional particle accelerator (atom smasher)</li>
<li>Making a fully functional accelerator-driven nuclear reactor (will be finished by the time I apply hopefully)</li>
<li>4.0 grade 9 & 10</li>
<li>Founder & president of my school’s theoretical physics enthusiast club</li>

<li>Founder & president of my school’s biology enthusiast club</li>
<li>There were another two clubs I founded and I am president of but I’ve been awake for the past 40 hours and I can’t remember, sorry.</li>

<p>I plan to major in theoretical physics and microbiology and minor in political science and chemistry. I know that that is <strong>EXTREMELY</strong> insane but, I’d like to think that if I work hard, I might be able to do it. I plan of getting a medical degree after college. </p>

<p>I’m SMH in disbelief right now. You have a perfect SAT, excellent internships, almost perfect IB scores, internships at JPL, and you are trying to build a nuclear reactor. This thread is stupid because all you are doing is bragging and showing off how gifted you are and you may even be trolling. If it makes any difference to you, MIT once rejected a kid who built a nuclear reactor in his garage. You already know your chances so hop off</p>

<p>I honestly don’t know my chances. I’m not bragging. There are at least a hundred thousand kids with more rigours classes and better extra-curriculars than me. Like you said, MIT once rejected a kid who built a nuclear reactor in his garage. I read on a lot of places that Harvard is a reach for everybody. A 5.9% acceptance rate is no joke. I’m just wondering roughly what are my chances for the schools I have on my list. I’m not gifted AT ALL. I, like many other teenagers, get obsessed with some things. For example, my best friend loves soccer, he reads about soccer tactics, watches soccer and plays it. I got obsessed with physics and biology. I spent my free time on the things I liked. Coincidentally, what I like opens academic doors. What my friend likes opens doors to a healthy life style (and possibly a professional athletic career). Neither one is better than the other. I just want objective estimate on how likely it is for me to get into the schools I like. </p>
