What are my chances of getting into the Spring Semester of 2012?

I have a 3.7 gpa
I’m in mostly honors classes
My sats were 1530 (They’re low)
I have volunteered a few times at my school for open house
I will be graduating with 28 credits instead of 18
I’m ranked 21st in my class
I applied May 1st and haven’t heard back yet
I have sent in an essay and reccomendations

What are my chances of getting accepted? I heard if you don’t have foreign language credits you can’t go. I don’t have any because my school didn’t offer any foreign languages. I’m from CT I have no idea if the school wants diversity meaning students from other states. I’m not sure if this will enhance my chances of acceptance.

Any advice and tips would be amazing :)

If you ask me you have a way better chance of getting in than I do. I think you will be fine & that you will get accepted, there are some kids who have done worse than you in school who have been accepted. But I really cant say, I havent been accepted yet im applying for fall 2011 & your stats are better than mine

Your stats are good. Since you are applying for the Spring term and not the Fall term of this year, they may wait a little to give you their decision because they’re trying to get those other decisions out to the Transfers and freshmen for Fall 2011. Just keep a look out on your MyUCF account and good luck to you!

I hope I get accepted. The thing that worries me is that the school I was already accepted to is having a program on June 27-28th that you go to so you can register for classes and take placement exams and so forth. I would love to hear back before that date so I don’t register for UNH. I’ve been emailing admissions asking loads of questions and I asked how long it should take to receive a decision. They said around 2-4 weeks. It’s been over a month because I actually applied on April 29th, I forgot I did it in school.

Do you think I could hear back before June 27th?

It’s possible, but I can’t say for sure. I can’t see why you WOULDN’T hear anything by then. You’re not missing any documents to send to UCF, are you? Like transcripts or anything like that…? Your MyUCF page will tell you.

Nope, everything was received. They have my transcripts, recommendations, essay, and my SAT scores. I sent my SAT scores either 2 weeks ago or last week, would that have anything to do with it?

Possibly, because if those were the ONLY test scores you submitted they would have needed that in conjunction with everything else you needed to send. Once they receive ALL of the things they’re asking you for, you have 2-4 weeks from receipt of all documents until they give you a final decision.
