5. University of Michigan
 6. UC Berkley

Will my SAT score affect my chances of getting into these colleges?
Are my EC’s going to help at all? Please be honest with the responses Thanks

U Washington (assuming this is St. Louis) is a big reach with your SAT.

That SAT makes UC Berkley basically out of your reach, considering the fact that you are OOS and your ECs aren’t spectacular. You have decent chances in the rest.

sinister— University of Washington is in Seattle, Washington U is in St. Louis; easy mix up, I do it all the time
azn, UC OSU and Mich. are very difficult to get into for all OOS students. OSU, for example, is raising the minimum GPA, even for in states, to around a 3.5.
Your reading and math scores indicate that your GPA is inflated, which may further hurt your chances. If you could raise them to around 550/560 each, you’d have a much better chance. I can’t speak for MSU, but the other schools are going to heavily look at SATs. Just to be safe, I would pick a few “safe” schools that you KNOW for POSITIVE you can get into. Though the schools you list have appealing %s, they account mostly for in-state students; (UVa, for example, has a 30% quoto for OOS’s; they accepted nearly 50% of IS’s)
Your activities are fairly diverse, but they could use some depth. I would focus on the ones that convey a strong sense of leaderhip (NHS, etc) rather than those that are purely recreational (Origami, etc). Also, focusing on your extensive service experience will help.

best of luck with everything!!!

bump… sorry, but id like a bit more feedback…

Strong GPA/rank, weak scores, good ECs and leadership, good honors/awards. Since you’re OOS, I’d say Berkeley’s a reach, though UCD is a match.

Retake your SAT; 1170/1700 or take the ACT
Your SAT score is lower than median scores of all the schools that you listed. Keep in mind that school states exist to serve the citizens of their states; oos students have a much harder time getting into such schools.
Cal is beyond huge reach; UCD, OSU is reach. For all the other schools; you will have a decent (at most) chance.

bump… bump… bump…
