What are my chances of getting into UChicago?

gpa: 3.5
Weighted gpa: 3.5
Act: 36

This is one of my favorite colleges and also where my sister studied. I am very fond of their historical economic thought, and have been very interested in the works of Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell. I am very talented at writing and I hear that they put an emphasis on essays during applications. Also, my gpa has been trending upwards since 7th grade (took two high school math classes in middle school). I realize my act score is perfect and not to sound arrogant but I am much smarter than what my GPA suggests. Other than my gpa, another weakness is that I was not a leader of any club in high school.

And also, id like to know about my chances at some of the more recognized liberal arts colleges like Williams, Carleton, Davidson, etc.

*i am Hispanic from low income (just in case this somehow affects my chances)

Thank you for your time

Mistake: weighted gpa:3.9

Good enough to make it worth applying. Nothing guaranteed of course.

Are you male or female?

Being a high stats, low income URM would probably be a hook.

In terms of LACs and economics, also consider Hamilton (Strauss taught here*), Middlebury, Wesleyan, Claremont McKenna, Colgate and, if female (though this may be unlikely george), Wellesley.
