I know the school is highly selective. I am, however, extremely interested in USC for Business. I don’t have amazing credentials but they aren’t too shabby.

3.76 GPA (I go to a jesuit college prep school that doesn’t weight GPA’s or rank classes.)
SAT: 700 Math 610 CR 630 Writing
Extracurriculars (My ace in the hole): Student Council President, Spirit Club President, Varsity Football Captain, Varsity Track Captain, Spanish Club, FBLA and NHS.
Over 100 hours of community service. (Big Requirement for my high school)
My school has a core curriculum but I still managed to take three AP classes, 2 honors, and 2 advanced (which aren’t offered until junior year)

I would like to know if I have a legitimate chance at getting in or if it is out of reach. Be brutally honest it won’t hurt.

As you can see, your UW GPA is just below the average admit and your SATs are quite a bit below the 25th%-tile (especially the CR score). You’ve got good ECs but the harsh news is so does most everybody else. In a normal year, with its <25% acceptance rate I’d say SC was a reach for you. Not out of the question but certainly not something to feel comfortable about.

Where else are you applying? What is your safety school?

What do mean by “in the door”? Mellon, Hopkins & Rochester are all DIII. Technically that means they don’t recruit, give athletic scholarships or admissions preference to athletes, (the key word being technically). Also, I’m pretty sure Rochester doesn’t have undergrad business; not sure about Hopkins.

Regardless, that list along with USC are some pretty competitive business programs.
