I’m currently a student at NYU Abu Dhabi. I took a gap year after high school before attending and over the gap year I realized I wanted to change my major plans and didn’t see a future at this school, but I didn’t exactly have time to cancel everything and reapply. Now I’m at NYUAD and I’m absolutely miserable. I want to leave here after the fall semester, go to CC for spring and summer, and transfer to University of New England for next fall. However, I think my grades here might be a little low. I’m just so unhappy that I’m having trouble focusing and doing well on tests. I’m anticipating maybe 1 C and the rest Bs and As. I’m submitting my application before I’ll have a chance to receive grades from CC; NYUAD will be the most recent thing on my transcript. Do I have a good chance of being accepted at UNE with this record?
Should I even bother to finish this semester if I’m so unhappy? Could I go home now and start CC or will that look worse?
