MY BIGGEST PROBLEMS IS…3 other kids from mys chool are applying there, the valedictorian, a kid with a 4.0 and 1590, and a kid with roughly the same stats as me…

if it means anything, i was deffered from dartmouth ED
OPINIONS???

RD by the way

well first off u seem like the ideal dartmouth ed candidate so it seems u were just unluucky u stand a solid cance just recheck ur essay get good grades this year and hope.

First off, I would bet that you are accepted RD to Dartmouth (knock on wood, Good luck)…and you are definetly very competitive at Duke…I do want to say that shools do not compare you against kids from your school any more than they compare you to the rest of the applicant pool…Case in point, my school was 5 for 5 at Stanford ED (1 of them was on athletic scholarship though, go fencing!?)

Yea, i don’t know if it had anything to do with it but a semi-recruited athlete, with huge alumni connections, and a a lower gpa, but same SATs applied to Dart. ED from my school as well, i don’t know if that had anything to do with it, but to be honest duke has been my love all along, it was an impulsive decision one day before the deadline that i made to go dartmouth instead and i regret it to this day

why are u guys being so nice to me…my sat’s are killing me!

1480 is prob above dukes avg.

"SAT1:
Verbal - 720, Math - 760

SATIIs:
Writing 790, MathIIC 750, Chem 750"

…is killing you? Time for a reality check bud.

you should be fine :)

alright but im just saying i have a break down on duke’s sat scores from their admissions office and they only accept like 25% of people in my range

the Duke admission rate for class of 2008 was under 23%…so 25% is looking like a steal…hehe

anyone else?
