Okay, so i am currently a SOPHOMORE at Granite Bay High School. It is one of California’s highest ranked high schools. And UCSD is in my top three choices for the college! I am just wanting some personal insight on whether or not i am on the right track?

Weighted GPA: 3.8
Un-weighted GPA: 3.6
PSAT: 1750
I am in the top %20 of class of 500+ students.

Extra-curricular:
I have been in ASB two terms.
I am an active member in various clubs.
I volunteer at Sutter Medical Hospital.
I am on the swim team.
Also, by the end of senior year i would have 15 college credits already from the local community college.

Hey, I know Granite Bay High School. =D Anyway, my advice would be to take full advantage of AP classes (take as many as possible). You will get tons of college units if you pass the AP tests, and obviously UCSD as well as other colleges want to see that.

If you keep this up, you’re in. Don’t stress too much about UCSD, it’s not that hard to get in. If you can bring scores up a bit, go for LA instead.
