<p>I am a Caucasian Wisconsin high school senior at a public school.</p>

Class Rank: 13/395
GPA (unweighted): 3.99 (one A-)
ACT: 31
AP courses: U.S. Government, Lang & Comp, Calc AB, Lit & Comp, Calc BC, Physics, Psychology, and Biotech (college credit)</p>

<p>Extracurricular:
BSA, Eagle Scout (various leadership positions)
Eagle Service Project: Created a community library for my township
Multiple High Adventure trips (mountain hiking, canoeing, etc.)
Key Club, member (100 hours logged last year volunteering)
NHS, member
DeMolay (Senior Counselor)
Wall Street Club (mock stock trading)
Mock Trial
Marching Band and Pep Band (Percussion)</p>

<p>I have a part time job where I work about 15 hours a week.</p>

<p>I am a member of my city’s municipal band which performs free concerts to the public during the summer.</p>

<p>I belong to a unique exchange program. This is affiliated with BSA (Explorer Post) and every two years our coed scouts to Germany or the German coed scouts come to the U.S. Each trip is about one month long. The focus of this group is to understand cultural diversity and acceptance. I went to Germany in 2008 and held the treasurer position that year. I plan go back to Germany in 2012 and I’m running for the groups President position.</p>

<p>Not very good chances at Stanford or Princeton because your ACT is low and your other stats aren’t good enough to make up for it.</p>

<p>I agree with bobtheboy. Mediocre ACT & class rank coupled with uninspiring extracurriculars means both are ultra high reaches.</p>

<p>Your stats are perfectly fine. Yeah, there are going to be students with 32-36 on the ACT, but that does not mean you should not give the schools a shot. For example, the middle 50% of Princeton’s class earned between a 31-34 on the ACT. Don’t give up!! All you need to do is write stellar essays and your chances will expand. Hope this helped!
