Hey i am currently a junior at a very competitive public school in Massachusetts. My questions right now are whether I could get into some stretch schools possibly. These schools would be Villanova and Illinois at Urbana Champaign. I would like to go for either accounting or engineering and I know both of these schools are great. My scores are as followed:

Gpa: 3.7 out of 5. through sophomore year. have a 3.95 this year though
SAT: 670 math 660 writing 550 critical reading(taking it again hoping to raise math and reading)

The reason i think I have a chance is because kids atmy schools have been accepted with similar scores.

Also anone with suggestions for good schools with these majors would be appreciated too.

I suggest you provide more info about yourself. Try using a block format from another thread.

Alright so here are my ECs if this helps more:
- JV/Varsity hockey 4 years, captain of JV team sophomore year
- JV/Varsity lacrosse 4 years, will be captain of varsity senior year
- Mission Trip to Mississipi for one week. Helped the relief of hurricane katrina. Spent over a week there. Built house cleaned up, etc.
- President’s award for community service sophomore year, School’s award for community service junior year. Total of abut 200+ hours of community service. Included in this are:
- Relay for Life(raised over $2000 for cancer)
- Miracle Baseball League( help disabled children play baseball)
- Helping out with Church things
- Im sure there are more that i cant think of at the moment

Also my unweighted gpa through sophomore year is a 3.5 but this year it is a 3.8. Hoping that the increase in grades throught my high school career helps.
