Thank You I will chance back
So the only schools I know of are Rice and Emory, both of which I think you have a shot at if you apply ED. Strong GPA and test scores. Your EC’s could be better, but I think you have a great shot!
You are definitely qualified and competitive for the UC’s snd USC. Best of luck. No guarantees but you should several options in the Spring.
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 4.20 or above (2016):
UCB: 42%
UCLA: 54%
UCSD: 87%
UCSB: 85%
UCD: 91%
UCI: 94%
UCR/UCM: 98%
UCI-Low Match
UCB- Low Reach
UCLA- Low Reach/ High Match
UCD- Match
UCSD- Match
UCSB- High Match
Emory (both emory and oxford)- High Reach/ Reach (Emory), Reach/Low Reach (Oxford)
Tulane- Low Reach/ High Match
USC- Reach
Rice- High Reach
Im assuming you’re applying RD to all of these schools, if that’s the case you SAT is low for, Emory, Rice , USC, and UCB. I would retake, and try for at least a 1480 (which is still on the low side for Rice and Emory) .
Thanks to all of you who replied. I wonder if being a resident of California (Los Angeles) helps.
