Take UCSD off of your list. The UC’s do not fund non-residents and do not provide financial aid to people who are not California residents.
You may want to do more research.

UCSD does not have a football team and is not high in school spirit.

Thank you! Good to know.

If you have that many college hours at your university, I don’t recommend transferring, unless it’s a major health issue. The problem is that classes, especially out of state, won’t transfer over and you end-up adding on another year or more to your degree. Financial aid has limits, and you run the risk of running out before you can finish. If you were in your first semester and you hate the college, that would be a different story. Right now you’re coming in as a junior from out of state. That would be adding $100,000 or more to your degree. You’re in a good place where you’re at. Just stick with it and graduate. You can always get a job or go to graduate school out of state.

From the list I’d say Penn State is the one your looking for when it comes to sports… son attended his first whiteout and his voice was no where to be found ?

NYU has no football team, and is notoriously stingy on Fin Aid.
State flagships like Rutgers and Penn State are also not a particularly good place for out of state residents to look for aid.

What is your SAT/ACT?

Syracuse? Why not UConn? Abysmal football but great basketball!

My daughter recently transferred and the schools she applied to gave her an idea ahead of decision what classes would transfer. It was a big factor in choosing a school.

ACT: 29
