Hi all! I am entering my senior year and have started the application process, but its time to start getting realistic about where I should actually apply.
I am considering these schools-

I know I will be studying International Relations paired with either Arabic, Korean, or Russian. I hope to end up in the Peace Corps and then State Department/Intelligence Work. Lofty goals, but a girl can dream, right?
My Scores-
ACT- 32 (first time taking it, i will take one more in September)
SAT- 1380 (again, first time, taking one more in August)
AP- US History (5) Comparative Politics and Government (5) English Language and Composition (5) US Government (4) I will be taking 5 tests next year, Microecon, Macroecon, Spanish, Psych, Euro
GPA- 3.7481 (out of 4, unweighted) 4.2619 (out of 5, weighted)
We don’t do class rank at my school but I anticipate (fingers crossed!) being in the top 5%
I am in all advanced classes except Math, receiving A’s in all but science.
Extracurriculars/Honors-
Speech Team- 4 year Varsity member, Captain of the team, 2 year Novice Mentor, 2nd in the state in Radio Speaking, 3rd in Special Occasion Speaking in the state, Most Outstanding Varsity Member Junior Year
Illinois Youth and Government- Elected Committee Chair, Voted Most Effective Legislative Assistant, Senate Sponsor, Author of bill that received first priority in all legislative sessions
National Honor Society
Musical- Member of Chamber Choir, been in 2 musicals and Talent Show, 6 years of voice lessons
Volunteering- over 60 hours
Paid Work- independent bookstore clerk, barista, and waitress
National Security Language Initiative for Youth- Semi-Finalist for Arabic Program
Alright, so… if you could tell me what you think I can expect from the schools I’m hoping to apply to, it would be SO appreciated! Additionally, please suggest some other schools (safety is preferred, I don’t have a ton of those) for me to research.
I’m applying for as many scholarships as possible, and will hopefully qualify for some merit and need based scholarships depending on where I end up, so money is a concern, but not a huge one. As long as tuition is around the 40-50,000 area I should be ok.
