List of schools that you’re applying to:
-University of Washington
-U-Chicago
-UC Berkeley 3.81 UW UC gpa, and 4.21 weighted w/ college classes - applying to college of L&S
-UCLA
-University of British Columbia

If anyone can give me some advice/chances that would be awesome! I have other schools I am applying to but they are either extremely obvious reaches (e.g. Princeton/MIT) or obvious safeties.

bahmp! 10 char

I’d say the schools listed are all low reaches for you and MIT and the rest obviously a reach. Work on your ECS and write a good essay! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=1529662

Why would the University of Washington and U Chicago both be “low reaches,” as they are both drastically different in their selectivity?

Anyways, I’ll chance you back now.

Your SAT1 score is good and your GPA is okay (considering taking college classes). Your SAT2 is not very impressive for top schools though as Math2 and Physics are among the easiest to score high. You should be fine for UCB, Washington and UCLA though. It would be low reach for U Chicago.

@billcsho Thanks for your help!

My SATII scores are estimates and I made those estimates when I thought I was going to be spending the fall studying for the SATI, but now I will have extra time for the subject tests.

If I focus on those subject tests and maybe add in a third (I’m thinking literature or chemistry) it would appear my chances would improve. Is this correct?

Washington - safety
Berkeley - match
UCLA - low match
Chicago - low reach
British Columbia - not familiar with

There isn’t much that you can do at this point, but make sure you do good on the subject tests. You also should start working on your essays as most of the top schools use their own topics; the essay is what could push you into acceptance at top schools like Chicago and Princeton.

Here’s mine http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1525734-chance-me-umiami-any-merit-aid-will-chance-back.html

Ok, thanks @teenbodybuilder, I chanced you back!

I think those schools are all matches and maybe even Harvard and MIT are not the highest reaches ever. Chance back please. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/multiple-degree-programs/1528664-questions-about-plme-hpme-chances.html

Ok thanks, I chanced you back! Anyone else?

With your sat score you have a good chance for UCLA and university of Washington
Berkley is a reach, and so is Chicago
I’m unfamiliar with the last one I apologize.
Your gpa is alright, but I’m not sure if extracurriculars will help you much for most of the colleges
Good luck! :)

Low reach for UChicago w your SATS, but it seems to be a match for UCLA and berkley! Good luck!!

Ok I’ll chance you two back!
