What are my chances with an 1830 SAT?

I feel really overwhelmed compared to all you guys having sats over the 2000s so easily… the first time I took the sat i got a 1640(ofc i had no study or preparation)
I’m an international, south korean, living in Spain lol…
I retook the SAT again and got an 1830… was very disappointed too…
Math:690
Writing:600 (essay 8…)
CR:540( I had gotten 530 on my first sat… omg…)

I went to an american school during my middle and high school and my GPA (i’m not sure if it’s weighted or not) is 3.5336
I have taken AP classes during my Junior and Senior years but only taken an actual ap exam(AP english lang and comp. got a 2 i think so pretty much useless)
On senior year i took as ap classes
AP Calculus
AP Spanish lit.
and honors:
Honors American Gov.
Honors British Lit. and Comp.

I have a total of 553.5 community service hours.

I actually was president for student council during my senior year, but got kicked off second semester because I ended up failing Calc and Bible and got in probation  also due to depression…

For ECs i don’t have much… things like was part of sports clubs like soccer club, ping pong, volleyball, being part of a christian youth group, part of worship team, etc. most of them just as hobbies…

I took no SAT II subject tests and graduated last june of 2012.
I didnt really took college apps seriously and didn’t really spend the time to research or anything. Being in this state of not doing nothing(it’s not really a gap year… it’s more a state of stress not being able to do anything)
There’s a reason for all this tho. I was in a great deppression during my junior and senior year and my grades dropped a ton… I even skipped school for days and weeks… like it was crazy… so now all this is a mess… what are my chances to go to any college in the us? or even uk? I’m applying to colleges in Korea right now too but i’m not sure.

I want to major in Computer Science but I droppped AP calculus second semester of my senior year because we had no teacher and we were taking it online, which was really a pain… I think I haven’t taken school seriously up till now, but is there a second oppportunity for me? my parents are pretty demanding and don’t want to just send me off to a random college in the us, at least they want a college that has a well-known name…
College Confidential is just making me look more a failure than what I am right now
PLEASE HELP!

btw… idk if this can buff anything, but i’m an international born in S.Korea who grew up in Spain, so pretty much I am trilingual…

btw, I’ve missed the application deadlines over the u.s. pretty much right now, right? I’m also wondering if it would be worth it to prepare this year retaking sat and sat II if I have to and apply for 2014… I’m actually 20 right now, so I don’t really want to do that but if I can go to a really good place, then it might just be worth it… what are my chances over in the uk?

If anyone is wondering about my act scores, which I’ve taken twice too…

Composite: 25
English:24
Math:29
Reading:22
Science:26
Combined English/writing:23(essay 8)

Composite: 25
English: 28
Math: 26
Reading:24
Science:23
Combined English/Writing: 23(essay 8)

my sat scores are better than my act ones, right?

Major please…

I stated it in the first post but it’s Computer Science

no replies???

bump…

You can’t apply this year so here’s what you need to do. Retake the SAT and put all your power to it. Try to get 2000+ and take the TOEFL as well as the SAT subject test if you can. If you require FA then it’s very competitive to get admission but if you don’t than you could get admission with that 1800 SAT nest year. Best of luck.

thanks for the reply! should I take the sat II too? Sadly, I do require FA… and one more question, what colleges/universities would you recommend me that would be reachable for me with the current score/also if I get a 2000+sat +Toefl?

bump 10char

If you get a 2000+ SAT and 100+ TOEFL then you should apply to every LACS which provide aid . Must apply to Trinity College, Williams, Kenyon, Collby etc. and also apply to one top uni like an ivy you may get luck. Search the internet on uni that give aid to international and explore them thoroughly use the collegeboard website . Contact the college and ask questions apply early to your top match college. Best of Luck
