OK, so I am wondering what my chances are at some of these schools. I go to what is said to be the most academically challenging schools in Maryland and have…

GPA: 3.4
SAT: 1900

Also…
highly rated art portfolio, and plan on going into an art major in college
likely playing DIII lacrosse (i have been recruited by two of these schools and in contact with the others)

-Connecticut College
-Middlebury
-Tufts
-Bowdoin
-Hamilton
-Williams
-Colby

Anyone else in a situation like me? What was the result? Also I am open to any other school suggestions. As you can see I am mostly interested in north eastern small schools with good lacrosse and art programs.

anyone? I would particularly like some ideas on safety schools for me since i feel like all of the ones on my list are either matches or reaches

I can say that your list is definitely very top heavy. I can’t really help you pick out a college, though, since I don’t know any particular schools for an art major. If you’re really clueless, you could do a search at [College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics](College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics) It’ll take a while a sort through the colleges, but it has a great search engine and tons of stats to help you pick.

From what schools I’m familiar with, they range from crapshoots to outright impossible. Getting recruited to play a sport could get you in despite the lowish stats, but going by the numbers, you’re low on both the SAT and GPA.
