What are my chances?

Hello my name is Adam Buckler. I go to a small high school in Ohio. What do you think my chances are for acceptance into Stanford?

GPA: 4.0
AP Classes: Government, Calculus, English, Chemistry
ACT Composite: 29
-English: 24
-Math: 31
-Reading: 32
-Science: 30

Groups: National Honor Society, Green Club, Pep Club, Quiz Bowl, and Business Club

Sports: Varsity Football (2 years) and
Varsity Tennis (4 years)

Academic Achievements: 2-time SOC Quiz Bowl Champion, Quiz Bowl Regional Tournament Qualifier, All “A” Honor Roll, and Valedictorian

Sports Achievements: SOC Doubles Champion and 2-time All SOC Tennis

Nothing?..

Retake your ACT. Not having any leadership positions, will hinder your chances. Definitley work on your essay, and make sure you get great Teacher Rec.

so first I would like to say that this is mainly about my personal essay for Stanford, I am truly passionate about world hunger (I fed 16,000 people in ethiopia last year and i have already doubled that this year as well as starting a non profit that sends water bottles to 3rd world countries) BUT everyone has told me DO NOT make your essay a part of your resume, rather it needs to be a story that shows your personality. So what on earth do i write about?!?!

Also I included some of my stats if you care to chance me but i am mostly concerned about my essay

GPA: 4.1 weighted
ACT: 29
AP: World History (5), Us History (4), Psychology (4), English Lang (4), Human Geography (3)
Will have my AA degree once I graduate as well as my EMT certification

Activities
Internationally renowned choir- first place gold at national competition all 3 year: President (2012), Librarian (2011)

Kids Against Hunger Initiative: Founder and President of club that packages and sends meals around the world (as mentioned before)

Health Occupation Students of America: President (2012), Event Planner (2011)-started a volunteering program that allows students to gain job shadowing oppurtunities

National Honor Society: President (2012), Corresponding Secretary (2011) began a schoolwide tutoring program

HOBY: School rep at south florida leadership seminar, South florida rep at world leadership conference, Secretary (2011), Co-President (2012)

again you dont have to take the time to chance me but I NEED HELP ON MY ESSAY! I just dont understand how i am suppose to write about my passion if everyone writes from the “Im a humanitarian that wants to save the world” angle

Going to ignore the above post…

Your ACT score is a bit low… Raise it to at least a 31. (higher is better, of course)

Your EC’s are a bit weak, although you do have football and tennis, which I’m sure will help you somewhat, but you have no leadership positions and there’s really nothing ‘wow’ about your application…

You don’t have a legacy or are a URM by any chance?

I am new to the forum, and would like imput on my application to Stanford.
Here are my stats:
3.5 gpa (I kno its low)
30 ACT w/ writing

even though my average is low, i have worked hard in school. can it pay off by trying to apply to stanford?

I wouldn’t count on it. As a Matter of fact I honestly think your chance of acceptance at Stanford is Abysmal, Assuming you do absolutely amazing on the essays and Recs, I would give you a 12% chance.
