A little about me</p>

<p>Ethinicity: Indian
Gender: Male
Citizenship: US
(But I have been living in India since I was 3)</p>

<p>APPLYING RD</p>

<p>SAT I score: 720M 680CR 730W (10 on the essay)
SAT II’S : 790 BIO,
MATH II C, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY in december
(750+ in each…hopefully :slight_smile: )
Rank: TOP 5% in a class of 90</p>

<p>Toughest course possible…syllabus equivalent to AP…
MOSTLY A’s except a B in Math.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Swimming ( I swim very well but there arent many competions in the town I live in)
Painting ( Good at Oil painting…love it…all A’s in art)
Voluntee at Orphanage and Blind School since 9th grade
Yoga (though I loathe it, I am pretty good at it and take yoga classes for the children at the orphanage)
Cadet in NCC (National Cadet Corps…similar to ROTC)…
Playing the “Harmonium” ( a type of indian instrument…since I was 8) with a 4 yr. training in classical indian music.</p>

<p>There arent any clubs at our highschool…</p>

<p>I know my ECs are pathetic…:))
But hey…
There are a couple of more…(organized rally…and similar stuff) </p>

<p>And yes…I want to major in MOLECULAR BIOLOGY…or maybe anthropology…</p>

<p>I love researching…working in the lab…presently I am attempting Micropropagation i.e.(Plant Tissue Culture)</p>

<p>Any views? Will I scrape in?..I really want to go to JHU. I am not a geek…I love watching movies, cooking, gardening and dreaming. Is JHU a good match for me?

there r so many indians applying to jhu…wow. All pre-meds I suppose…But I am not the least bit interested in being a doctor…though biology is my favorite subject</p>

<p>I guess all u people r tired of answering…“what r my chances” threads…:)…</p>

<p>I think it’s more because of the fact that it’s completely out of our hands now. There really isn’t a point to answering “what are my chances” questions now that the dealine has passed. Usually people tell you what things you can improve on before sending in your app, but there just isn’t a point to it anymore.
It might also because we’re all nervous about getting into JHU ourselves, we don’t feel like critiquing others.</p>
