So you’re ranked #1 in your school, but find it important to come on here and let everyone know that you “don’t know your chances?”

Please. Toot your own horn elsewhere and at least not under the guise of being unsure about your chances.

actually i don’t want to “toot my own horn” I posted my stats here to get an honest opinion from a member of the theatre program about my chances. And considering that members of the theatre program are highly accomplished i think it is important that i should compare myself to them. Theatre is my hook, and at Northwestern I’m sure being #1 isn’t important, it’s not a guise. And if i wanted to “toot my horn” i’d go to a discussion board where the average participant doesn’t have a 4.0+ gpa, 1550/1600 on the old SAT, and all sorts of other elitist qualifications…thanks!

Alrighty, then. Based on your information, no I don’t think you have a good chance at all.

thanks for the thoughts

A definite reach unless you play the AA card.

^^^ are you a part of the theatre program?

Haha… wow.

I am in the theatre program, and I also find this a bit obnoxious…if you’re the top science, math, french, everything student, doing theatre while also heading other student groups…you’re fine. You have absolutely no reason to worry (not that anyone’s guarenteed, but you have a great chance), and absolutely no reason to come and ask about chances.

If you have questions about the theatre program, great, I’d be happy to answer them. I appriciate your accomplishments (we’re all overachievers here, it’s true), but listing stats that are obviously not borderline isn’t necessary.
