this is where i’m worried: i only have like 15 to 20 hours of community service max

You have a chance at getting in. Apply ED if it’s your top choice. No promises though.

Since you don’t have the community service make sure you come up with something thats a hook… something thats unique and only you can offer to the school.

It is usually said that this:

makes up for this:

Don’t stress about the lack of community service in your case. Since so many people do it in high school, it’s really not a hook for anyone unless you’ve got specific projects or 500+ hours. My “hook” was certainly the ‘specific projects/experience’ side; and I know for sure that it’s what made me stand out in a sea of applicants (I was val. myself, but so are thousands of other applicants).

It sounds like you’re plenty awesome anyway - not many people can say they speak polish & italian; I’m assuming the polish is a family thing? Whatever you decide to use for your essay, just make sure your passion shows.
