What are my chances?

States -

CR - 500
Math - 700
Rank - Top 10%

Colleges -
university of florida (OOS) - major = nuclear engineering
University of Texas (OOS) - major = petroleum engineering
Texas AM (OOS) - major = petroleum engineering
Penn State (OOS) - major = nuclear engineering

These may all be reaches or high matches given your test scores, plus not likely to get any merit aid at OOS publics. Are you applying to your in-state schools as well?

Yeah, i'm applying for a few suny's as well. However, i'm also in the process of completed a NROTC scholarship.

The suny's-

Stonybrook, Buffalo U. Binghamton U.

Your math score is great for Stony Brook, but your CR is under. 93% of all admitted had CR and writing scores of 530 or higher. You should definitely apply to the SUNY's, but make sure you have the proper transcript requirements. 4 English, 4 math, 4 science, and 4 social studies credits.

Uhm, are the oos schools really reach schools? As far as suny's are concerned, most of my friends from last year got accepted with low 500's. I did some research about oos schools, and some of the responses say that if i'm trying to major in engineering, they take the math score more seriously than the reading. If this is true, can i get some insight? I recently took an sat, and hopefully i improved.
