I was wondering what my chances were at getting into ucsb, for starters i have a 3.725 UC gpa, I took as many AP and honors classes as i could, andmy last SAT score was 2120 (I most likely scored a 2200 on the october SAT).I’ve been playing football all 4 years of high school, as well as being a team captain and 1st team all league player my sophomore year. I was also wondering if football we be a good essay topic to write about, this year our seniors turned around a failing football program (we hadn’t won a league game in a decade and now we’re undefeated and have been in multiple news articles) and I started on both sides of the ball at middle linebacker and center and have been listed as a key player in multiple news articles. How much can football factor into my admission? Thanks for your time :)

Is it too early to bump?

lol dude come on. give yourself some confidence, you’re in at UCSB. you should consider UCLA, Berkeley, and some other schools of that caliber. you can write about football in your personal statement, just make sure it comes off as something “deeper” than, well…football. i’m not sure how much football can factor in unless you’re AMAZINNNGGG. but it’s always nice that you play. maybe do some last minute community service to show you’re involved in local causes.
chance back please.
