I have an 85 gpa
27 ACT
3 AP Classes, 2 Honors
100+ community service hours, dancer, involved in 6 school clubs
Please let me know!

GPA is low. The rest is good. I would say you have a 38% chance. Just my guess.
Are you in or out of state? Penn State usually admits the top ten percent of each high school’s class because it’s public
Your grades should come first. If you truly are involved in 6 clubs, are in dance, and perform community service (which aside from the others is admirable), then you should ask yourself what your GPA would be if you had time to study more?
High School is a brief period of time. You are there to learn first and foremost. Clubs should be a limited part of your time.
I am a senior who has recently applied for regular decision. Any thoughts on chances?

@NavalCadet2019, which school did you apply to? And did you make their 11/30 priority deadline? Your math score is a little low for a lot of PSU’s programs.
I note that you’re low income. How are you planning to pay for Penn State even if you’re admitted? Did you run their net price calculator? PSU is very expensive for in-state students (too expensive for many) and it’s even more expensive for out-of-staters.
I assume you’re applying for Naval ROTC. Is that an automatic award for any school you’re accepted to?
I made the 11/30 deadline. I have applied for a Naval ROTC scholarship. If I am selected to receive it, I could be awarded with a full ride, applicable to Penn State. If I do not receive an award, then Penn State is off the table.
Good luck, @NavalCadet2019!
Thanks! I was accepted into Smeal this afternoon!
