What are my chances?

I have a 3.2 unweighted and 3.5 weighted, low grades mostly in freshman year and almost every class I have taken is honors. I’m a junior this year taking 2 AP history courses which relate to the field I want to go into.
I doubled up and took 2 honors math classes sophomore year so i could get ahead, but this also risked some As because of the course load. Because of physical ailments, I am unable to participate in gym which normally puts me in electives that are harder to get an easy A in than gym and I also can’t play team sports. I generally take less electives in order to double up on courses so that also affects the amount of easy classes I have.
I play piano and cello, am the assisstant manager of the stage crew for the school play, participate in model UN, academic decathlon, debate club, and writing club. I also have over 700 hours of community service.
Although it sort of looks like I’m stretching myself thin with clubs, I’m very passionate about the things I do and want to pursue all in college.
I also scored a 1900 on SATs and have not yet taken ACTs
Is my GPA too low to count on getting accepted to anywhere good? And if so, what schools?

  1. Define “Good”?
  2. Home State?
  3. Require financial aid? How much can you and your family afford each year?
  4. Intended Major?
  5. Schools of interest? In-state or OOS?
  6. Large or small school? Urban/Rural? Private/Public? Any preferences such as Midwest, East or West Coast?
Need to answer questions before recommendations can be made.

I’m staying in the northeast and I’ve been looking at BU and Skidmore
Right now, my price range is very very low so I’ll require financial aid
I want to go into history secondary education with a minor in art history
size wise, I don’t care, I’m not very picky.
And by good, I mean more selective, no Ivies or anything, but BU is very competitive. Do I stand a chance?

@manateechild Based on your stats and your desired career path in education plus the money concern, I don’t think those schools are a fit.

There is a great little Catholic school called St. Bonaventure in NY state with an excellent reputation in education. It is an old and fairly well known school in the east.

My best friend’s wife is a college professor and both of their daughters are there majoring in education.

Very pretty campus as well. You look like the average St. Bonaventure student.

Your state should have some options as well.

I’m also looking a Wheaton in Massachusetts
I know they’re smaller and a little less competitive but I worry I’m too close to the border for there

My problem is, my low grades have been because of my physical conditions, some of which is noted at guidance, as well as social issues freshman year, so I fear that colleges may look over this.
