never won in any major competition, not really liked by teachers in general…

can i make it to any good schools?
can i ed cornell? or any good schools?

Not very much to go with here.

Why are you “not really liked by teachers in general”? Is that really true, or are you selling yourself short? If the former, it’s not very promising, I’m afraid. You’ll have to do a much better job of “selling” yourself if you want to get into any “good” schools.

Generally I havent been able to be particularly like by any teacher because i am relatively introverted…
is there any schools to recommend that maybe i can aim for?

Introverted is fine. Disliked is different. There are tons of smart, creative, innovative kids who are introverted.

Realistically, applying to colleges is a marketing process, and you need to be prepared to sell yourself. Part of that is making an effort to highlight your own abilities and accomplishments in a way that makes them easily understood by adcoms. Part of that is reaching out to your teachers and GC and making sure they know who you are. You need to make that effort.

There is no “good school for introverted students”. Some of the ultra-competitive schools may be bad places for someone like you. What are your interests? What do you think you might want to do with your life? Do you think you would do better at a small liberal-arts school as opposed to a bigger university? There are some tremendous liberal arts colleges. It sounds like you might do better there than a bigger school where you might get lost. Do you have any geographic preferences or restrictions? In what kinds of environments do you generally do best?

I guess although i am introverted, I am do work hard and try my best in class… I dont think they dislike me but rather they just dont notice me because i dont stand out

I am interested in biology mainly and japan. I became fluent in japanese just by watching a lot of japanese shows and I also organize activities for peace between hk and japan…I guess if i were to “sell” myself to the school these are the only two points that I stand out. I probably will fit in better in smaller schools but I guess it is after all a dream for all students to apply to those super competitive schools and i want to try. In the future, after getting a degree in perhaps biology i might advance further to go to grad school for more bio or medicine if i am good enough. I am not the kind of person that want to mingle with a bunch of people but i have my passions and i want a school that allow me to be passionate about what i want to be passionate about.

It sounds to me like you would be miserable at one of those super competitive schools. The good LACs are terrific schools, and might be good environments for you to develop. If you’re thinking of grad school or medicine there’s plenty of time to try one of those competitive schools down the road.

Based on what little you’ve said, I’d look at the more social universities like Brown, Penn and Duke. But those are going to be reaches, and I’m still not sure they’d be as good for you as places like Reed and Carlton, where you would get a terrific education. “Good schools” is not limited to the Ivies + Stanford, and finding a good fit is much more important than meeting some pre-defined expectation of where you think you ought to go. I’ve known plenty of bright kids who got into the Ivies and were miserable there because their personalities weren’t good fits, not because they weren’t smart enough.
