What Are My Chances?

My cgpa is 2.8. My EC’s invlude an organization a created myself where students and I would come up with ideas like cancer fundraisers, volenteering at soup kitchens, and helping with community service. I played softball and was in choir. I’m also part of the student council. In the fall(senior year), I’m doing three honor classes(pre calculus, english 4, and spanish 3). At the end of my first semester I’m hoping to raise my goa to atleast a 3.0.I’m waiting for my SAT scores but I did really good. I’m applying for UCSD, FIU, USD, and University of florida as my first choice schools. What are my chances?

Not sure why you keep starting new Threads. You could always add on more information on your original threads.

You want chances yet you have no SAT score and doing well says nothing until you get your scores back. Based on GPA and EC’s only.

UCSD not possible if you do not meet the UC GPA minimum of 3.0 and even if you do, it is a Reach.
See your other thread for average stats.

USD is a Reach. Check your other thread for their Freshman profile.

@Marissarojas98 What is your weighted GPA? It’s a very important thing to know!

I absolutely agree with @Gumbymom. You keep asking to get chanced. The answers are not going to change if you continue to post. Your GPA is very telling, so most schools, that are competitive, will not select you.

Getting into colleges has become extremely competitive. You are competing with students who get unweighted GPAs of 4.0s and high SATs/ACTs with sports ECs, Scouting, volunteering and jobs. If you really want to get into a competitive university, like UCSD, go to a CC, prove yourself, and transfer in. Your current grades just aren’t cutting it. Being harsh, but realistic. If you wanted to go to a preferred university, why didn’t you talk to your guidance counselor? Now you seem to be desperately back-pedaling. It doesn’t work that way. The schools want high-achieving students who can pay to go to their schools. That’s the reality.

Universities look first at GPA and test scores. Everything else us secondary. Talk to your guidance counselor this year.
