My parents are from The Ivory Coast, my Father went to college @ a Catholic school in Milan and my mother happens to be a member of the National Honor Society. I’m dark skinned african american, and speak fluent french (learned as a child). I’ve lived in not so great areas around the nation, (Brooklyn and Oakland) but I was lucky enough to keep my head on straight
I go to Santa Barbara City College
Major: Political Science
Current Transfer Gpa: 2.6
Expected Transfer Gpa after fall 2016/winter interssion: 3.0-3.2
Expected Gpa after Spring: 3.2-3.4
I’ll be taking two winter courses that I HAVE to get A’s in to be eligible for UCSB tag and I’m currently doing well in my fall classes right now
I’ll also be taking 17 units finishing igetc and prereq for my major in the spring
Schools I’m Applying To:
USC (#1 Dream School) UCLA,UCB,UCSD, SFSU and CSULB UCSB(TAG).
What are the odds of me getting into any of these schools. Or what should I look into doing? (taking honors classes in the spring for USC admission or not?)
Do you think my personal statement will influence my chances
