I am in 8th grade and applying to a bunch of really in reach schools, but my reach school is St. Paul’s. I play trumpet, am taking Spanish, and am a three sport athlete. The hockey coach seems really interested as having me as a goalie for their team, and I’m pretty sure I nailed my interview, but I am only in the 77th percentile for the SSAT. What are my chances? (Rough estimate.)
I think study the tricks for the test (I watched youtube videos)
Look at ssat.org list of each types of math and verbal questions that will be on the test and fill the gaps in your knowledge.
Look at these websites: crackssat.com, ivyglobal and ssat.org
Get a box of SAT or SSAT or general standardized test flashcards and study them every day until the test.
To get into a good private school you should check on there website what their standards are for scores.
I’d say you have a good chance of getting in if you use the tips above and score between an 89-100%
It seems tough but if you focus you will get there.
