    Background Info:
Grew up on East Coast. When mother passed away due to illness, I moved to Asia for a few years, then moved to CA before junior year. I’ve had to move around a lot because of circumstances, financial issues, and my own desire. In other words: 2 years at international school in Asia (freshman, sophomore), 2 years at public school in L.A. I qualify for reduced lunch.

Common App Essay: I talk about the 2 most impactful events of my life: mother’s death and how I learned to value relationships and moving to L.A. (under the care of a guardian) and learned to be more independent/disciplined (time management, break out of introverted shell)

Applying to:
UChicago (lolol), Amherst, UCs (Berkeley, UCLA, SD, SB, Davis, Irvine), Pomona, Pitzer, Oxy, Swarthmore, Bryn Mawr, Barnard, Wellesley, NYU

Comments: I plan on doing EDII for Uchicago to have all As Senior year 1st semester on my transcript.
