Pretend this is pretty much my college app. Assume my recommendations and essays are good. I’m a junior and will assume some of the accomplishments below I will make before early action dates. Maybe Drexel or Rutgers? Really scared of my chances since I realized how little I did in my high school career.
SAT: 1540
ACT: 35
GPA: 98
UW GPA: 101
Other things: Chinese, lower middle class, live in ny, parents didn’t go to college
APS: World history-5, Micro and macro -5(self taught), physics1-5, American history-5, computer science-5, language-4, statistics-5
Clubs: officer in science olympiads, math club, Vice President of model congress, chess club, philosophy club, yearbook, tennis, track, newspaper
Other stuff: NYU precollege in cybersecurity, 200+ hours from children’s science camp and library, invest in stocks, create a wide variety of financial and productivity apps (assume I do), didn’t do much outside of school, no awards major or minor
May double major in economics and computer science, but cs is primary goal. Probably Plan to transfer to better school since just figured out how badly I actually want to go to a top 30 school but how bad my chances are right now since I had no idea what I was supposed to do in high school and wasted a lot of time.
I think you have a pretty good shot at those schools! What achievements in math and science do you have?
Lol I’m not joking when I say I have no achievements. The only thing i have is top 30% in the county in competitive math, not country, which is like nothing considering it’s regional competition and I don’t think I should put that in a college application.
Which of your stats & accomplishments are real and which are assumed ?
Do you have an actual 1540 SAT : 35 ACT ? or are you just assuming that these will be your scores ?
Everything is real except for the Pre-College and the apps which are my plans for this summer. The 1540 is real, ACt is assumed based on the practice I did

AP scores except for world history are assumed but I think they’re realistic based on my grades and practice on real tests. I think ACT score is going to be high though I didn’t take it because of my high sat score and practice I did.
