I just want some opinons about my chances at UCSD, UCLA,UCB

Biology
3.4 GPA
no extra curriculars
only half of my major pre-requisites for UCLA and UCB by the end of
Spring 07.

I have a really crappy Academic Preparation and Potential to Contribute parts on the personal statement but I wrote a interesting story of how my life changed when I got caught with a gun junior year of highschool because I was involved with gangs. I did seven months in jail and I wrote about how that changed me.

Thanks for replying.Yeah I’ve been here all my life, and im transfering from a california community college. I’ve been at my community college for three years because I had to do lots of remedial classes in the beggining but im done with IGETC now and im a little more than half way through my major-reqs.

I am sorry for asking more questions but…do you mean halway through your lower division courses or upper division courses? Because the more course you finish with a good GPA, the stronger your application would be.

If you want UCB…I suggest you to stay one more year at CCC–finish off those courses…try to raise that GPA a bit to around 3.5…get some extracurricular activities and you’ll be a very good applicant for UCB…

otherwise…if you are really sure that you want to transfer right away then I don’t know much about your chances at UCLA and UCB…UCD might be easier to get in than UCSD–especially because of your major.

If I can get UCSD, i would be really satisfied. I have a TAG with Davis but I dont really like the location of it. Can u rate my chances from 1-10 for UCSD

lol I can’t predict your admissions to a college…

But I will say this…if you think you can make some real strong essays, I see you as potential competitive candidate for SD…so look at your essay(s) as your golden ticket to UCSD…lol

i really wish best of luck with your applications.
