In 2003, my older sister got accepted to MIT and is now an attending senior. I’ve been there a few times and it is great, but my parents let me visit her by myself once. I flew there and explored the campus and it is pretty much the greatest place on earth. It would be my dream to get into MIT.

basically, I am trying to lower my expectations but i am soo intrigued by the school. Is it at all possible that I may get in? I also want to know if the fact that my sister goes there with a 5.0 GPA can help my chances?

If not, what about RPI (Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute) in Troy, NY?

Please someone help me so i know what questions to ask at my meeting with my parents and guidance councelor this month.

P.S. I know that much of this information can be found online and in my college books, however the main thing that i want to know is if my sister goes there if it improves my chances
