What are my chances?

<p>-I’m inbetween my sophomore and junior year, female, and Caucasian. </p>

<p>-My GPA freshman year was about a 3.2.</p>

<p>-My GPA sophomore year was about a 3.15.</p>

<p>-My school doesn’t offer advanced classes freshman year, but sophomore year I took advanced English and AP US Hist, although I didn’t take the AP test (due to a teacher change, they didn’t require it.)</p>

<p>-I’ve been in Student Council for the last two years (and was sophomore class president), Theater Club for 1 year, and Yearbook (which is a class at my school, does it still count as an EC?).</p>

<p>-I plan on continuing all of those through high school.</p>

<p>-I’m not taking any AP courses next year, and senior year I will be taking 4 core classes + foreign language (my 4th year of German, which will be AP), even though the only required is English.</p>

<p>What are my chances? Can I redeem myself? What do I need to do?</p>

<p>Why don’t you just take AP classes? And you should’ve taken teh AP test…its not hard…</p>

<p>Actually, the AP US test can be tricky. Very smart kids from my school only get 3s and 4s every year. But you really need to improve your GPA. You need above a 3.5 to have a good shot</p>

<p>I agree you really need to get your GPA up. And I don’t really think yearbook is counted as an EC, but I could be wrong. Do you have any volunteer experience?</p>
