What are my chances?

I am now enrolled in two more courses Honors Multivariable Calculus (quite high level) and Mathematical Statistics. By the end of high school I will have taken 6 courses at UW-Madison.

Did a summer research internship this summer with a professor from the UW-Madison (am sending in my abstract)

I expect to get a great rec from my math professor since I got 100%, 96%, 97%, 98% on his exams.

EC’s. I am on a very competitive club soccer team that travels almost every weekend in the spring. 3 years of varsity soccer. Play the violin, an avid sailor/windsurfer. I am going to try to walk on to the Harvard soccer team.

what are your thoughts?

Academically you’re definitely in the range. But chancing for Harvard is almost impossible. It is so selective that everyone is a reach. It’s hard to know if you fit the bill of what they HAPPEN to be looking for. You’re in the running, but you’re not a shoe in.

I’d say you have a high chance, but as KellMill said with harvard you never know.

I know, harvard you just get in if you’re lucky. I’d like to hope I have a chance, but I know many 2400 4.0’s that have been rejected.

Are you a senior or junior?

I am a senior

^Outstanding, good man! By your basis, I am most certainly a “shoe in.” But wait, I only cured breast cancer though, is that good enough for Harvard? I also did not do any of the economic strategizing on how to efficiently market the medicine required for the recovery process. Oh bloody hell!

You’re definately in the competition … just like the several other THOUSANDS of applicants competing w/ you. Harvard is so selective and so random, and it’s almost impossible to give chances.

yay wisconsin

I can’t tell. You can’t tell. No one can tell; it’s Harvard.
