What are my chances?

Okay, so i am currently a SOPHOMORE at Granite Bay High School. It is one of California’s highest ranked high schools. And UCSB is in my top three choices for the college! I want to go there because I love to party! But i am also a very serious student. I am just wanting some personal insight on whether or not i am on the right track?

Weighted GPA: 3.8
Un-weighted GPA: 3.6
PSAT: 1750
I am in the top %20 of class of 500+ students.

Extra-curricular:
I have been in ASB two terms.
I am an active member in various clubs.
I volunteer at Sutter Medical Hospital.
I am on the swim team.
Also, by the end of senior year i would have 15 college credits already from the local community college.

So, yeah. That is just a general idea?

I would appreciate some input.

Looks like you are on a good track, but wait till senior year to be evaluated. Really, things can change drastically. As of right now, though, you are on track. But your PSAT is low, get over a 1800 on the SAT.

yeah, as aforementioned it’s too early to tell. Your gpa looks like it is on track, and your PSAT is low but there is plenty of time to fix that. At this point, that’s pretty much all that can be said. Keep those grades up (heck shoot for a 3.9), start slowly preparing yourself for the SAT, but honestly… you’re in 10th grade, so enjoy high school while you still can. Because yeah your gpa and sat is what’s going to get you in college, but your experiences and wisdom that you acquire in high school will determine how well you do once you get to college!
