What are my chances?

<p>Hello, I would like someone to give me their opinion about my chances to getting into Georgetown University.</p>

<p>-GPA: 3.81 (weighted)
-SAT: I will take it soon and may at least get 1800.
-6 IB classes this year(gotten As,Bs,Cs…I feel like this year my grades will hurt my gpa), 7 IB classes next year(will try my best to get nothing lower than a B)
-Active in my community:
—NHS
—Tutor students
—Math Honor Society
—Have had jobs
—Science Honor Society
—Volunteer at a local hospital
—Starting my own club at school, Medical Outreach
----Part of several clubs at school</p>

<p>I am going to apply early action because Georgetown is my first choice.</p>

<p>Need more info, but from what you’re telling me, I would have a Plan B.</p>

<p>What is your UNweighted GPA? (Given your description of grades, it sounds like the unweighted might not be impressive by GU standards, which are very high.) Class rank? What kind of school? What part of the country are you from? Any “hook”?
Finally, an 1800 would be mediocre or poor by GU standards (and you should really focus on the M and CR, as the W is of dubious importance). And you will need 3 Subject TEst scores. Have you taken any yet?</p>

<p>GPA and SATs are painfully low, especially since your GPA is apparently going to sink even lower.</p>
