<p>I am in the top 5% of my class going into junior year and I not not a great test taker (SAT) makes me very nervous. However I have been in student government(secatary), mock trail, Human Rights Activits Program, Many visits to UN , meet with Susan Rice and had a dissucion on Women’s Rice, Particiapte in programs with The Council of Foregin Relations such as rasie of China and India and The War in Afganishtan and Iraq, and is a special driector on The board of Directors on a company that founded my school. Also have travel experience most recently to Morrocco on a scholarship for arts and travel. What are my chances of getting into NYU?</p>
<p>You need to give your GPA and SAT scores if you expect to be chanced.</p>
<p>Top 5% is fine for grades, but we would have to know scores, they are important. About 1950 would put you in the running. The big issue with NYU is usually whether or not you can afford it, without high scores you’re unlikely to get much aid.</p>

<p>I got in with a 3.789 GPA and 28 on the ACT, with a few leadership positions/ECs, and compared to mine your stats are a lot better. But I also got into Tisch so I don’t know if they’re more lenient with academics since there was a portfolio they looked at as well. I got a scholarship too, but I’m pretty sure it was through Tisch and not related to academics.</p>
<p>I was accepted with a 4.0 UW gpa (about top 5%) and a 1980 SAT score. Try to aim for the mid 1900, but 2000+ would be great. Maybe try and gain some leadership positions. I was the captain of a sports team and I really think that gave me an edge over a lot of people. If you’re not into sports, try being the leader of a club.</p>
