I did pretty okay on my SAT for some school but this one school i really want to get into my SAT really didn’t reach there and I’m just praying to get in. But some people have said you can try to send some things in like a letter or something to admission to help them see more better of you instead on a test. so can someone please help me and help me figure out what else i can send for them to look at me better because i am I’m just not a good test taker, thank you.

Some people do better on the ACT than the SAT. Try the ACT.

Schedule an interview for the school and make sure you demonstrate interest. Do everything you can to follow up after visits/interviews (thank you notes, respond to any student correspondence they initiate etc.). Let the school know that if accepted, you would attend. Make sure you have strong EC, leadership, volunteering etc. Show that you are an interesting well rounded person who is more than a test score. If they offer a ZeeMe option make sure you do it. Answer every supplemental essay/question. When the admissions rep comes to your school or college fair near home, talk to him/her even if you have already visited/met them. Do you play an unusual instrument like the Tuba or have a talent that the school needs (singing, sport, etc.?). Make sure your essay is sincere and solid. Do you or your high school have any alumni connections that can help you? Don’t be afraid to ask your guidance counselor, neighbors, family friends/relatives if anyone has any “pull” at your desired school. Connections can be everything. You are more than a test score - try to get that information across to this school and don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help from alumni/others. Good luck.
