<p>I’m a freshman in high school and I want to know what extracurricular activities I should join that stand out in your application. I’m planning to start the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) club when I’m a junior. I’m also planning to go to Leadership camp during the summer. I’m also planning to run for treasurer next year and then vice-president as a junior and president as a senior.</p>
<p>What is going to stand out to the colleges you end up applying to is not the activities you do, but that you commit to them for an extended period of time. You want your list to exemplify your passions, so do things you’re interested in. A little volunteering here and there doesn’t hurt either.</p>
