What are some good safties and reaches?

<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I am a high school junior. My G.P.A. is very average, around 3.15 or so. I have not gotten my SAT scores back yet however. My extra curricular activities are French Club for three years, Varsity Golf (2,4), JV Rugby (freshman year), Indoor Track (1,2,3), about 30 hours of community each year, and I am working on a project which will donate $10,000+ to American Cancer Society.</p>

<p>Achievements:
2nd place in high school poetry competition
Three Talent Shows (music)
Jobs:
Blood center
Supermarket</p>

<p>Course selection:
9 honors courses from freshman to junior year… Senior year I am taking two AP’s and 2 honors.</p>

<p>If anybody could help me pick some reaches, safeties, etc, it would be greatly appreciated. </p>

<p>I got my scores today, 1110 without writing… I haven’t taken my course yet so I’m hoping it will go up. I’m not sure what I want to study, possibly business. I am pretty gifted musically (I can play almost all folk instruments).</p>

<p>Where? Pretty much anywhere, besides the deep south and the Midwest.</p>

<p>Your scores are going to limit you enormously. Almost all of the schools I can think of, or that are popular on CC, are going to be reaches (from BC to Vandy to UMich).</p>

<p>Well, I have a good understanding that I can’t get into BC, Vandy, UMich, etc.</p>
