I’m also from Texas, but if you want to find scholarships, the best thing you can do for yourself is to make accounts on scholarship websites. You put in your information, and they search hundreds of scholarships tailored to what you put in, and you can decide whether or not you want to apply or decline it. I made accounts on these six websites when I was a junior and now I am still using them well into my sophomore year of college:

I applied to 40 scholarships as a senior and received 5 (but several of those scholarships were held at my school). Also, don’t forget to search on your school’s website and other local schools websites.

One scholarship specific to Texas that you should definitely consider applying for : Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo scholarship. (And try searching for a list of Texas scholarships, you’ll be surprised at what you find)
