I am thinking about college but I am really worried about the amount of debt I might get into along the way. I am not afraid to work to make up the money… but what if i can’t get a job or scholarships?? Could somebody please help advise me on alternatives exist or what other routes I could take? Thank you - I am new to this!
Start by reading the links in this thread.
What year are you in high school?
Do your parents know much about the college selection process? If not, you will want to get to know your high school counselor even more.
And start reading ALL of the stickies on these threads…wealth of info.
Students are limited to the debt they can take out in student loans.
You have to look at a combination of
- what aid you may qualify for, calculate your FAFSA EFC, run the Net Price Calculator on college websites
- what can your parents contribute
- what is your gpa and sat/act
Then pick colleges that are affordable.
