What are the best honors programs at public universities that are still accepting applications? I am applying to Barrett (the honors college at ASU) and was wondering what the other top ones are, and if I could get in.

SAT I- 700 CR, 690 M, 730 W
SAT II- 740 Lit, 760 USH
GPA- 4.3 W, 3.8 UW

EC’s- 4 years varsity golf, EIC of the school newspaper, mock trial captain, golf coaching, etc.

I am a Caucasian female from California. I’ve already applied to 10 private schools (mostly LAC’s), but I’m getting a little worried about the cost.

You will just have to go to the admissions websites of each state school that you are interested. Montana State has a later submission, for example, but maybe you would never consider that school. You’re too late for Penn State, and the regular application for Ohio State is Feb. 1st, but they wanted applications by Dec. 1st to get considered for Merit aid. You have until Feb. 15 to apply for the OSU honors program.

uga honors, definetly good

Can your family afford OOS public Us?

Ole Miss’s Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College is superb. I think you also have until January 15th to apply. Message me if you have questions!

Have you applied to UCs and CSUs also?

Unfortunately, a lot of deadlines have been passing, so it is pretty late to be looking for safeties. Some of the usual suspects among less expensive out of state publics include Minnesota TC, Minnesota Morris, Virginia Tech, SUNY schools, UAB with Blazer Elite Scholarship, Truman State, schools in the Dakotas, etc., but you’ll have to check deadlines for application and scholarship application.

ASU’s Barrett’s Honors College might be an option. I believe they are on a rolling admissions.

Yes, you’re late asking this question.

some of the schools with strong honors colleges and good scholarships have deadlines that have passed. Many had Dec 1st deadlines.

Your M+CR is a 1390. Some honors programs may require higher stats.

Try Ole Miss, Miss State, UArizona. Does SLU have an honors program? If so, check that one out.

You missed Alabama’s Dec 1st deadline for an assured 2/3 tuition scholarship. It has a very good honors program and might still offer you scholarship money for your stats, but no guarantee at this point.

How much will your parents pay?
