Michigan State. Thursday nights. Cedar Street. look it up on youtube

University of Illinois

see this: [Unofficial Saint Patrick’s Day - U of I Wiki](http://www.uofiwiki.org/wiki/Unofficial_Saint_Patrick’s_Day)

it also has the largest greek system in the world.

UT-Austin easily. There’s a renown, whole street solely devoted to drinking (6th Street).

western michigan university… believe it or not. rolling stone wrote a disclaimer to why it’s not listed on the top party schools: “western michigan university has never made our top 10 list because no one can ever remember what the f*** happened the night before”

ASU
…
Nuff Said. . . yeah try going there on a random weekend…beer bottles everywhere

if you don’t believe me, go to thedirty.com to find all the crazy colleges

[Party school - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Party school - Wikipedia)

On my list I would put, San Diego State, Chico State, Arizona State, University of Wisconsin, Penn State, University of Florida, University of Texas, and maybe and honorable mention for North Carolina because of that library rave someone posted a while back :)

From what I’ve been informed about,
Party schools:

Arizona State University
Pennslyvania State University- University Park
Florida State University
Columbia University
University of Arizona

Schools that have a large party scene:
Michigan State University
University of Wisconsin- Madison
University of Miami
Ohio State University- Columbus

( I’m sure there are more universities to fill up the list, just can’t think of many… though all the others to be listed above are at least ranked 30+ by USNEWS)

Regardless of being a party school, Penn State is still able to maintain a spot in the top 50 colleges in the United States so it has nothing to really be ashamed of.

Did people really forget SUNY Binghamton or are they playing make-believe?

While other schools may know how to party, Indiana wins parties.

Usually lots of the flagship state universities-

Penn State
Ohio State
Wisconsin
South Carolina
Georgia
North Carolina
Arizona State

…you get the drift.

As far as UNC goes, this year was probably one of the best as far as pure pandemonium goes. Besides the annual street parties (Halloween and beating Duke), we won the NCAA basketball national championship (pandemonium), had two library raves, and celebrated pretty hard when when our football team beat Notre Dame.

hey Cuse0507, I used to think Syracuse was a big party school but when I heard of and compared it to many other schools, the numbers of parties our school throws aren’t squat.

But Cuse kids know how to have a great time.

Don’t knock 'Cuse too hard…Mayfest is always rowdy haha. Plus all the great concerts the university gets. Kanye West and Third Eye Blind to name a couple from the past few years.

Of course I know my school is the sh** when it comes to catering events. But parties are pretty much generic. They consist of alcohol, same music, always hosted by frats unless you live on South campus and decide to throw one in your apartment.

But all in all, Syracuse is great for the fact that there are a myriad of other ways to have fun besides parties.

UW-Madison

^^^^^^ umm no. Columbia is not a party school. I guarantee you - one of my best friends goes there. There may be some students that party there…but not nearly as much as any big public uni.

Oh yeah, and Western Michigan for sure. I have friends who transferred from Western Michigan to Michigan State. They said it is a lot more studious here than at Western, haha. No joke. (or should I say Waste-ern?)

^

Yeah I was thinking on whether I should have listed Columbia as a top party school, or top party scene. I guess Columbia University is more of a top party scene, along with Michigan State University, University of Wisconsin- Madison, Ohio State University- Columbus etc…

Though I wouldn’t hesitate at all listing Columbia with party schools

( I don’t see anything negative about party schools, especially when the students can manage to excell in school. Such as a motto I heard used towards UW-Madison “Study hard, play hard”)

Ohio University has a wilder party scene than OSU- columbus

I agree with you but studies should be given more priority.

Penn state.

Playboy refused to rank penn state on the best party schools because they felt it wasnt fair to compare “professional” partiers (penn state kids) with the amateurs.

This is from PLAYBOY guys. I think i’d trust the pink bunny over what you guys say anyday.
